JHB kick-off event / first practice

Our first “practice” will be Monday, October 7th starting at 5:30 PM with a special family introduction time starting at 6:30 PM.

• • I want to invite all families to join us, not just players, including families that still may be on the fence about playing on the team or not. I’m just hoping to have everyone registered before the October 11th practice.
  • It is going to be at my house at 917 S. Jackson St. in Boone, IA (no gym available). Park on the east side of the street (opposite side of my house).
  • I will be making hamburgers and hot dogs. If you have food allergies, let me know. Our family has dealt w/ gluten, soy, dairy, and some mild nut allergies, so we won’t be offended if you have them. You can also bring food too; don’t care, we’re easy going folks.
  • There are a number of new families who have registered after Scoops’N’Hoops and I really want everyone to have a chance to get to meet everyone else including siblings before the season starts.
  • Kids can play basketball in the driveway and play tag/football/wiffle ball/soccer in the backyard. We have lots of space and 7 kids who usually like to play w/ other kids (well, not sure on the baby; she’s still a baby so can’t talk).

If you can’t make it, that’s ok. Folks can come and go as needed. Just hoping that most can be there for the 6:30 PM intro time.
